Geoff Seabrook

Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Gobal V C S Limited

Geoff Seabrook has an extensive background stretching back some 40 years in the IT industry with twenty years having been spent primarily working in Silicon Valley. Having returned to the UK he co-founded Visual Nexus Limited to take the Visual Nexus visual collaboration product to the global marketplace.

Geoff started his career as a system software engineer and early accomplishments included the development of the technology for the first computer controlled sports stadium scoreboards. He started and later sold a company that capitalised on the scoreboard software and also on a computer system that he co-designed. In the early 1980’s Geoff moved to the USA, where he spent eleven years with Memorex, including periods as the Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of Strategy.

More recently Geoff has spent thirteen years with SCO / Tarantella where his roles have included running both the European and Asia/Pacific regions and being responsible for Corporate Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions. During his time at SCO the company completed a successful IPO and grew to be the undisputed leader in its market.

Geoff is skilled in all aspects of corporate development and Mergers & Acquisition, in addition to his experience in sales, marketing and technology. Since returning to work in the UK he has also been a part of the executive team at Atlanta International, a boutique M&A Company and has been a non-executive director of Bango.net, a Cambridge based technology company. He was a non executive director at Bango from the companies start up through its AIM listing in 2006, before stepping down from the board in 2007.
